Why Sign Up For Business Coaching

By:Kris Koonar

Business coaching is not solely about fixing broken businesses. Business coaches also work with business owners who are already successful. These business owners sign up for business coaching to help them achieve even greater successes.

Business coaching should not be considered as some kind of therapy. It can only help develop plans to achieve goals and targets. It helps business owners communicate in a better way with their employees and customers and it teaches them to work smarter. The biggest misconception about business coaching is that just anyone would make a good coach. Anyone aspiring to become a business coach requires solid experience, a mastery of communication and people skills, critical thinking and a commitment to the business.

When starting a business, the need to deal with everything can leave the new business owner bewildered. There are many pitfalls and problems to overcome. Trying to set up a business without any help can only lead to disaster. Very few people can succeed in business without any outside help. Never start a business without knowing how to target your market, as it would only be a waste of time, effort and money. Getting into the wrong business with too much competition and not enough demand is another common mistake made by most amateur business people. The fastest way to lose money and valuable time is by jumping from one business opportunity after another, month after month. Money cannot be made in a short time if there is no hard work involved.

Business coaching has been designed to help businesses increase sales and profits. A major aspect of coaching is to identify what works in different companies and then to duplicate these processes in other companies. Coaching provides businesses with powerful marketing skills and techniques. It teaches, facilitates, informs, clarifies and supports the business owner. Coaching is challenging, exciting and focused. The right business coach can streamline business processes and transform the business with growth. With good guidance, business owners can be transformed into good and effective leaders. Coaching not only helps owners' deal with conflicts rationally but it also helps them manage employees better. A coach listens, encourages and breaks down everything into simple, concrete steps. He also evaluates and separates the strengths from the weaknesses and uses the strengths to accomplish the goals.

The goal of coaching is to make the optimum use of an organization's resources. Coaching is part of the development training for executives and talented new comers. It provides an opportunity for getting new insights and viewpoints. The benefits of coaching can win over the most critical of clients within a short period of time. Coaching looks at all the aspects of business like lead generation, marketing, sales, operations, distribution, product mix, finance and personnel.

Business coaching programs are of two kinds - change-oriented, which are aimed at changing specific behaviors or skills, and growth-oriented, which is aimed at strengthening performance. Business coaching is applicable to any field of commerce. What started out in the corporate world as a method of helping stressed out executives with their professional and personal lives has evolved into a technique and practice of increasing productivity, motivating the personnel and improving profits.

2nd Ld-Writethru-China Focus: Obama-Dalai Lama meeting interferes in China's internal affairs: Tibetologists by Xinhua writer Li Huizi

replica clothing

BEIJING, Feb. 19 (Xinhua) -- Tibetologists said Friday the Obama- Dalai Lama meeting was apparently "interference in China's internal affairs" and "defiance of China's state sovereignty."

Despite China's strong opposition, U.S. President Barack Obama met Thursday with the Dalai Lama in Washington. China urged the United States early Friday morning to take concrete actions for healthy development of bilateral ties.

Du Yongbin, a researcher with the China Tibetology Research Center, told Xinhua that no nation in the world recognizes "Tibet independence," nor does any country deem the Dharamsala-based "Tibet government-in-exile" legal, and all U.S. presidents and governments publicly acknowledge that Tibet is a part of the Chinese territory.

While the White House said Obama met the Dalai Lama in his so- called "religious identity", Du said it was just "diplomatic manoeuvres".

The Dalai Lama's religious and political identities could not be separated, as he is not only a living Buddha of the Gelug sect of the Tibetan Buddhism, but also the de facto leader of the theocratic "government-in-exile," he said.

The meeting aimed to contain China by playing the "Tibet Card," Du said, adding when the Dalai Lama went to Washington last October, Obama did not meet him for purpose of making his ensuing first China visit successful.

The Thursday meeting is actually fulfillment of Obama's promise to the Dalai Lama that he would meet him later, Du said, adding Obama had been under pressure from the U.S. hardliners and its advocates of "Tibet issue".

Since 1991 when then U.S. President George H. W. Bush became the first U.S. president to meet the Dalai Lama, there had been 11 meetings between U.S. presidents and the Dalai Lama before Obama took office.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Ma Zhaoxu said in a statement it was regardless of China's repeated solemn representations for the U.S. to obstinately arrange the meeting between Obama and the Dalai Lama.

"The U.S. act grossly violated the norms governing the international relations, and ran counter to the principles set forth in the three China-U.S. joint communiques and the China-U.S. joint statement," he said.

It also went against the repeated commitments by the U.S. government that the U.S. recognizes Tibet as part of China and gives no support to "Tibet independence," he said.

Prof. Zhu Feng of the Peking University said the meeting was considered as a gesture shown to the U.S. public and the international community that the current U.S. administration would pay attention to the "Tibet issue" and "sympathize" and "understand" the "government-in-exile" as previous governments did.

The Dalai Lama is a "human rights defender" in westerners' eyes and they believe human rights is the core of the "Tibet issue," Zhu said.

"Especially at a time when Obama is highly disputed in domestic politics, to abandon or delay the meeting with the Dalai Lama will, to a great extent, intensify criticism on Obama," he said.

The meeting was carried out in the Map Room in the White House instead of the Oval Office which symbolizes the presidential power.

2nd Ld-Writethru-China Focus: Freezing conditions worsen as Chinese travel home for Spring Festival

JINAN, Feb. 11 (Xinhua) -- Heavy snow and freezing temperatures forced more airports and highways in northern China to close Thursday, just two days ahead of China's Spring Festival.

Millions of travellers already on the road hope to arrive home by Chinese New Year's eve on Saturday.

Meteorological authorities forecast more blizzards to hit more areas Thursday, Clip in human hair extensions impacting nine provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities in China's northern, western and eastern regions.

The cold snap will continue for the next three days, the meteorological authorities added.

Hefei, capital of east China's Anhui Province, had to close its airport and suspend 95 percent of long-distance coach services Thursday morning, as the overnight snow turned to ice, making runways and roads hazardous.

Communications authorities said bus terminals had turned on heating and provided hot drinking water for more than 3,000 stranded passengers.

In north China's Shanxi Province, police helped out by using their vehicles to escort passenger buses along sections of closed highways, so people could return home for the festival.

The heavy snow that started Tuesday night forced the closure of six expressways in the province, halting inter-provincial bus services and stranding thousands of passengers at a coach terminal in the provincial capital of Taiyuan Wednesday.

"I prefer going by bus than train, because trains are very crowded and slow, " said Yan Jing, a passenger who finally gave up waiting for a bus Wednesday and instead headed to the city's railway station to try her luck there like thousands of others.

In northeast China's Liaoning Province, an ice-breaker failed Wednesday to open a passage to Juhua island, where sea ferry services have been disrupted by sea icing since Dec. 31.

The island, with a population of 3,200, is the largest one in Liaodong Bay, and is separated by a 7.5-km gulf from Xingcheng City, Liaoning. The island has drinking water and the residents had already prepared food for the winter.

But local authorities had hoped to send food and necessities to the islanders before the Spring Festival. But there was no ice breaker available that could get through the ice.

The country's only ice breaking vessel that could do the job, the Snow Dragon, is being used in an Antarctica exploration mission.

Human hair wigs The provincial marine and fisheries department said the sea ice in Liaodong Bay, the worst in 40 years, is still expanding.

In northwest China's Shaanxi Province, expressways from the capital city Xi'an to east China's Shandong, Fujian and Zhejiang provinces and northern China's Hebei, Henan, and Shanxi Provinces were all closed after snow started falling Wednesday evening.

The freezing weather stranded hundreds of people at Xi'an City's Sanfuwan bus terminal Thursday morning.

Cheng Congjun, head of the bus terminal said the station had prepared free housing for the stranded passengers.

"We also dispatched ten extra tourist buses to ensure that all passengers

2nd Ld-Writethru-China Focus: Door for talks with Dalai Lama still open, national sovereignty non-negotiable: CPC official

BEIJING, Feb. 1 (Xinhua) Clip in human hair extensions -- Chinese authorities said Monday that the door for contacts and talks remains open to the Dalai Lama, but no concessions would be made on issues concerning national sovereignty.

Du Qinglin, head of the United Front Work Department (UFWD) of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, had met with Lodi Gyari and Kelsang Gyaltsen, private envoys of the Dalai Lama, in Beijing, said a statement from the department Monday. No exact date was given in the statement.

During the meeting, Du had pointed out that issues concerning China's territory and sovereignty were non-negotiable and no concessions would be made on those issues, the statement said.

Du said the so-called "Greater Tibet" and "high-level autonomy" violated China's Constitution and only if the Dalai Lama completely abandoned such claims, could there be a foundation for contacts and talks.

The contacts and talks would have no progress if the Dalai Lama side continued activities against China and refused to show basic respect and sincerity, said Du, also vice chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.

"Tibetan people cherish peace and stability. It is no use to cheat them and act against their will. The activities of infiltration and provocation, which are doomed to fail, will only create barriers for the talks and isolate the Dalai Lama and his followers," the statement quoted Du as saying.

The central government had been consistent and clear in policy concerning the Dalai Lama, Du said. "The door for contacts and talks is open, and the policy has not been changed so far."

If the Dalai Lama really hoped to make progress in contacts and talks and remedy relations with the central government, he should "respect history, conform with the times, clearly understand the reality, and cast aside illusions," Du said.

The Dalai Lama "should profoundly reflect on his words and deeds," Du said.

"To essentially rectify his position, he should match his actions with his words, and win the central government and the Chinese people's trust through actions," he said.

"It won't be a way out to seek 'Tibet independence' or 'independence in a disguised form' through violence or non- violence," he told the Dalai Lama's private envoys.

"Nor will it be a Clip on hair extensions way out for them to seek internationalization of the so-called 'Tibet issue' or to give support to international anti-China forces," he said.

During the meeting, Du also outlined the achievements made by the Tibet Autonomous Region under the leadership of the CPC, according to the statement.

"There's no country or party in the world like our country and the CPC which, in more than a decade, pool the whole nation's strength to support the development of an ethnic region," he said.

"It is the CPC, the central government and local Tibetan governments who can represent the fundamental interests of all Tibetan people, and can ensure them a happy life," he said.

The statement said UFWD Executive

2nd Ld-Writethru-China Focus: Construction of China Pavilion at World Expo completed

Human hair extensions

SHANGHAI, Feb. 8 (Xinhua) -- Construction was completed Monday on the China Pavilion at the 2010 Shanghai World Expo, with fireworks, floating balloons, red lanterns and ribbons, and deafening gongs and drums to celebrate the occasion.

Almost 1,000 spectators, including pavilion designers, construction workers and government officials, attended a completion ceremony outside the iconic structure, dubbed the "Oriental Crown," in the Pudong New District of Shanghai on the eastern bank of the Huangpu River.

"The project allows visitors to experience China's splendid civilization and brilliant modern achievements. It is a key platform for cross-cultural exchanges," said Yu Zhengsheng, secretary of the Shanghai Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China.

"Completion of the construction of the China Pavilion is a significant step and it paves way for further exhibition layout," said Han Zheng, mayor of Shanghai.

"It is a satisfying day," said 34-year-old Chen Bifeng, a worker from neighboring Zhejiang Province. He has been in charge of the installation of fire-prevention equipment at the pavilion.

"The China Pavilion has attracted the attention of the whole nation's 1.3 billion people, and I think my labor and sweat of the past year were worth it," he said.

Standing 63 meters tall and red in appearance, the China Pavilion takes the shape of an emperor's crown, with the upper layers larger than the lower ones.

Covering 160,000 square meters rolex fake in floor space, the pavilion is composed of a national hall and a regional hall.

Construction on the China Pavilion began on Dec. 18, 2007.

The design of the China Pavilion was picked from a total of 344 designs put forward by Chinese from around the world.

"The pavilion possesses both traditional and modern features," said 72-year-old He Jingtang, chief designer of the China Pavilion from the Architecture Design Institute under the South China University of Technology.

"For example, it is red in appearance, which bears the elements of traditional Chinese culture, and it is green indoors, with the use of energy-saving and environment-friendly techniques," said He, also an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering.

The Shanghai World Expo will run from May 1 to Oct. 31 this year, and is expected to attract 70 million visitors from across the globe.

It is estimated that 400,000 people will visit the Expo and its 140 pavilions every day during the period, but the China Pavilion is only able to receive about one tenth of the total, organizers have said.

How to accommodate so many people in the pavilion remains a tough task for operators of the project.

"Luckily, the China Pavilion is built as a permanent structure. After the Expo is over, the China Pavilion will continue to be open to visitors," said Zhong Yanqun, deputy head of the executive committee of the Shanghai World Expo.
